Located in Rubicon, Wisconsin
Ruby Valley Ranch is nestled in the hills of southern Wisconsin in the town of Rubicon. The longhorn journey started for us back in the late 1990s. Growing up Luke’s parents had a few unregistered cattle that they had as yard art and for beef. This is where the idea of raising longhorns for themselves came about. Luke and Jackie decided the they wanted to get longhorns again when they moved into Luke’s childhood home and bought a few registered cows in 2017. With being very new to the industry of registered longhorns I found an ad online that ended up being posted by Mike Thiel, Mike got us the information of what was the first GNTLA sale and we have been hooked ever since. We have just a few cows and plan to raise replacement quality heifers along with beef animals. Creating the total package animal is our goal and we enjoy competing in a few futurities every year. Getting new breeders involved is something we feel strong about, especially being new to registered animals ourselves. The day to day operations are done by Luke, Jackie and their three girls. Feel free to call or email if you are in the area and want to talk longhorns.
Thank you,
Luke & Jackie Multhauf
